Our Mission
To encourage and equip the next generation of disciples to grow in relationship with the Lord

Our Story, My Testimony
I grew up going to Vacation Bible School (VBS) at The Village Church; I looked forward to the week each summer when we were having fun and Jesus was being glorified. In the summer before sixth grade, I aged out as a participant and began attending as a volunteer instead. It was then that God laid the idea to start my own VBS on my heart. The summer after 6th grade, in 2017, I launched a humble VBS in my living room with my younger sister and two of her friends. From there, it grew to 7, then 20, then 30 kids, and we quickly outgrew my home. After many attempts at securing an alternate location, I reached out to The Village Church (TVC) asking to borrow decorations from their VBS, if we were going to hold it in my living room again I wanted it to at least make it look believable. They gave us decorations, but they gave us more than that, they gave me their trust. They said that if we needed a place next year, the church was ours. That next year, in 2022, at 17 years old, I surrendered to the call of full-time children's ministry. We held VBS at TVC and had over 70 children attend and countless children gave their lives to Christ that week. At the end of that summer, TVC offered me a job as their kid's ministry director. I immediately accepted and now lead the same VBS I grew up attending, the same VBS that planted the seeds of faith in me all those years. This story of God's goodness and timing in my life is my favorite one to tell. It has been my greatest joy watching God work with and multiply my few loaves. I am honored that you would consider being a part of it. You are welcome here!
Our Storybook
Why "Seeds & Loaves"?
Planting Seeds & Surrendering Loaves
Our name is our mission and both are rooted in scripture, specifically in John
4:36-38 and John 6.
"Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”
John 4:36-38
Our mission, as a ministry, is to plant seeds in the hearts of every child that enters our space; seeds of salvation, so that they may eventually bear the fruit of the spirit. We pray children would leave knowing just a little bit more about Jesus and feel seen, known, and loved at our events. We know that we may never see the fruit of these seeds, but we also know that it is not up to us.
"Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, 'Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?' He said this to test him, for He Himself knew what he would do... One of his disciples... said to him, 'There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?'... the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. ...And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, 'Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.'"
John 6:5-14
One little boy surrendered what little he had and Jesus did a miracle with it. We may never know what hangs in the balance of our obedience. It is our prayer that we would continually surrender our loaves and make space for Jesus to move.
